Stop Blaming Chair fans.

It has come to my attention that some fans are blaming the loss of GG’s ratings on the Save Chuck and Blair campaign. That is absolutely ridiculous. Chuck and Blair fans blowing off steam and tweeting Goodbye GG is not going to tell 200,000 members of the general audience to turn off their TVs at the exact same time.

Did we trend GoodbyeGG? Yes, only to come back the VERY next week and promote the show again. 

Are we going to make fun of the ratings? Yes. We’re Chair fans who hate Dair. Why wouldn’t we make fun of it?

Members of Save Chuck and Blair are doing everything we can to help fans hang on and keep them from leaving the show completely. The GG powers that be should be thanking us for keeping a large part of their fandom alive. We trend for Gossip Girl every week. We act as a sounding board so fans can vent their frustrations. We put fun in the fandom, so fans enjoy themselves. We discourage online bullying.

We love Gossip Girl and we are loyal fans. However, we are also passionate fans. If we see something we don’t like, we are going to say it. That’s human nature.

BLESS THIS POST. Seriously, if savechuckandblair haven’t been here, I would’ve quit the show in season 4 when they started dair in the first place. Savechuckandblair have been one of my hopes for chuck and blair and gossip girl. So don’t go around blaming them. If you were the right kind of writers you would be blaming yourselves because you know that the chair fandom is largest fandom of GG and that without us, you wouldn’t even be having a fifth season. We didn’t convince the other watchers to stop watching, the ones that left watching the show on 5.16 were loyal fans, dair fans and people who don’t give a crap about ships. And the reason you dropped to 800,000 viewers is because some of the 200,000 viewers share the same view as chair fans, they want chair back as much as every chair fan wants chuck and blair back. Some fans tell us that the reason we don’t get chair is because we aren’t heard, but that is entirely false. We’ve trended every single Chuck and Blair related tag on twitter and yet you refuse to hear us out. So this, GGWriters is YOUR fault, no one elses but yours.


“Blair hearts Chuck”, because we all know they are each other’s Valentines! So let’s tell the writers, by getting it trending before and while we watch the Valentine’s Day themed 5x15. Last Monday all episode we trended “Reunite Chuck and Blair” worldwide! With your help we can do this again! Chuck and Blair always get the best lines on the show, especially if they get lines together. Their scenes are just perfect and you can really see the emotions that Ed and Leighton pour into them.
